Calling Cassie by Kat Mizera

Calling Cassie by Kat Mizera is now live!
A brand new hockey romance standalone

Available on all Platforms

ABOUT THE BOOK

Twenty-three-year-old hockey stud Logan Pelletier is having the time of his life as the ultimate bachelor. It’s all about hockey and living it up with his friends. He has no time for love, let alone a relationship. Until a spunky, hockey-playing stripper dances into his life... and his bed.

Miss independent Cassidy Reynolds is already 0-2 in the marriage department. And the twice divorced twenty-four year old isn’t looking for lucky number three. She’s focused on hockey and getting a college degree. Stripping is just a means to an end, but when her friends from the Alaska Blizzard hockey team start hanging out at the club, she knows it won’t be long before they figure out her secret.

As Logan and Cassie blur the lines, will it be game over for their friendship or will it be the start of something more?

ABOUT THE AUTHOR

USA Today Bestselling and award-winning author Kat Mizera is a South Florida native. Born in Miami Beach with a healthy dose of wanderlust, she's called Los Angeles, Long Island, upstate New York, Massachusetts, New Hampshire and Atlanta home. She's never been able to pick which locale is her favorite, but if pressed, she'd probably choose the west coast.

A typical PTA mom with a wonderful and supportive husband (Kevin) and two amazing boys (Nick and Max), Kat can usually be found scrapbooking or indulging in her second love (after writing) - traveling. Greece is one of her favorite places in the world. She loves that Athens is a big city with a small-town feel. The food, beaches and culture keep her going back as often as possible.

Kat's been a working freelance writer for nearly 30 years. She sold her first article--a review of a rock concert--for $10 in 1985. Since then she's been an entertainment journalist, waitress, bartender, legal assistant, food critic, magazine editor, substitute teacher, and sports writer. She also spent some time working at A & M Records in Los Angeles.

As you can guess from her Las Vegas Sidewinders series, Kat loves hockey and occasionally writes articles about her favorite team, the Florida Panthers. The rest of the time, she writes novels: sexy, romantic fiction that she hopes makes you as happy as it makes her. There's something enticing about hockey players and romance...

This is book 8 in the series and is a stand alone hockey romance that takes place in Alaska. It features playboy and 23 year old, Logan and 24 year old, college student, hockey player and stripper, Cassie who works as a stripper to pay for college.

These two hang out and share friends and are very casual friends. All that changes one night when Cassie is attacked on stage and her stripper disguise is exposed to Logan and his friends. They form a friendship and eventually she ends up as a roomie with him and Ryder and Coco. I loved how awesome they all were as roomies.

Cassie and Coco were my absolute favorite characters in this book. Cassie is a strong woman with clear goals and is a twice divorcee. She is now about making something of herself and avoiding men romanticly. I loved her and how independent she is.  I think she is one of my absolutely favorite heroines in this entire series. I really love that the author writes such strong and awesome women characters in her stories.

I also liked Logan a lot. I loved how he had to fake pretend to be this playboy when all he wanted to be was hang out with Cassie. Once he opens his eyes and sees how awesome Cassie is well I fell hard for him just as Cassie does.
