One night will never be enough. ~ We made a pact. One night. No strings. No attachments. No numbers exchanged. I caved and gave Harrison Decker my number anyway.
He just chose not to use it.
Four years later, his job brings him back into my world looking more handsome than ever and now making an effort to befriend me. Is my heart willing to take another chance on that man?
Call me crazy or crazy in love. Either way, I’m not falling for him. Again.
Excerpt
I don’t fall for chicks. Don’t get me wrong. I’m not heartless. I’m just wise as to why they’re trying to pin me down. If I’ve learned one thing while growing up in Los Angeles with my last name, it’s that nothing comes without strings attached. Everyone wants something from me.
Besides my good looks. At this point in my life, I’m more interested in building my career in real estate and proving to my dad that I’ve earned a spot in the family business. Women are fun but a major distraction.
I leave my dates sexually satisfied while keeping my emotions out of it. I get in, in every sense, and I get out. So why am I staring at the woman sleeping naked beside me, trying to figure out how to make this last more than one night?
Meet S.L. Scott
New York Times and USA Bestselling Author, S. L. Scott, was always interested in the arts. She grew up painting, writing poetry and short stories, and wiling her days away lost in a good book and the movies.
With a degree in Journalism, she continued her love of the written word by reading American authors like Salinger and Fitzgerald.
She was intrigued by their flawed characters living in picture perfect worlds, but could still debate that the worlds those characters lived in were actually the flawed ones.
This dynamic of leaving the reader invested in the words, inspired Scott to start writing with emotion while interjecting an underlying passion into her own stories.
Living in the capital of Texas with her family, Scott loves traveling and avocados, beaches, and cooking with her kids. She's obsessed with epic romances and loves a good plot twist. She dreams of seeing one of her own books made into a movie one day as well as returning to Europe. Her favorite color is blue, but she likens it more toward the sky than the emotion. Her home is filled with the welcoming symbol of the pineapple and finds surfing a challenge though she likes to think she's a pro.

This is a second chance at love story between two people who had a vacation fling and both are also best friends to a couple who ended up married. Their story really begins in the 1st book in this series but also this book includes more info on what happened in the first book so it also can be a stand alone.
I LOVED the first book and while I enjoyed this story, at times I was frustrated by Tatum/Tate and so I did not love it as much as I loved the first book in the series.
Harrison lives in California and Tate in NYC. They along with their best friends all meet on a vacation in Catalina Island. Their friends end up married and with a baby and they end up never having more than a vacation fling until they are made godparents of their friends new baby.
One of the main issues in this book is the fact that Tate expected more after their fling and he never called her again. But they also live in two very different places and are two very different people.
When Harrison comes out to NYC for a month for work and fun, they end up getting their second and 5th chance. They both drove me a bit nutty as they have so many communication issues. It made them a bit immature until Harrison has to show Tate that all he wants is a chance and that what made this story so awesome. I really loved these two together, even through all their ups and downs.
