In this story we meet Jett, who is a very happy single bachelor at age 26 and plays hockey for the Arizona Vengeance. He has a HUGE crush on Emory who also works for the hockey team but in social media and digital marketing. She always turns him down for dates until she finally gives in to a business dinner date.

Emory has a very complicated life and it includes an ex husband, a 7 year old little girl and a sister who is house bound because of facial scars, plus she now has a new job. She meets Jett for dinner and they hit it off and a friendship is born, but Jett is not into complicated, he wants easy. But he also really likes Emory and so the push and pull relationship begins.

This story was really awesome. Its not an original storyline but it is original in this series and we also get to see more of Nora, Baden and Riggs in this book. Plus we meet Emory's sister and daughter and I really liked how the author wove them into this story and had Jett interact with them.

This had a superhero single mom and a fun loving hockey player and love, family, friendship and an amazing hockey team that I love more with each story. I cannot wait for Riggs and Baden's books.
