ABOUT THE BOOK
A new standalone fake relationship romance set in the world of the Wrights from USA Today bestselling author K.A. Linde…
I never thought I’d say yes to a fake date.
Let alone with Julian Wright.
But I’m stuck attending my perfect brother’s doctoral graduation, and I can’t suffer through another round of parental disappointment. Julian has to go to a charity function he planned with his ex-girlfriend. We both need a date.
Yes, we shared one kiss in a darkened office to make his ex jealous. But it wasn’t real. Was it?
I’m sure I can get through this. Until we get to the house and there’s only one bed.
I’ve pined for Julian for three long years. More than my body is on the line...I need to guard my heart.
Because if I get hurt in our fake relationship, then it serves me Wright.

This is book 2 in the Wright cousins stories and this is about Jordan's brother Julian and Jennifer, who is friends with Sutton, and Annie from previous Wright Books. Julian and his cousins have built a winery and Jen is their photographer.
In previous books she has a HUGE crush on Julian, who she is just friends with and its more aquaintance friends than best friends. For the last two years he dated Ashleigh who is an awful person but very rich and connected and they broke up in the previous book when it was discovered she was trying to stop Julian and Jordan's winery from being built.
This book centers around anxiety and how its a real issue and can really get in the way of living ones life. And even with medications to control it that it really has this stigma attached and in this story, Jen admits its there but she tries to hide it from her families and friends. And sometimes she can't get away from it when life gets in her way.
In this story Julian and Jen are friends and they both have some sticky social occasions when they can use a date so they decide to fake date to support each other as friends. I loved this part of the story and we see how they both are crushing on each other.
The author tells the story in 5 parts, parts 1-3 are all about 7 chapters each but part 4 and 5 each are around 10 chapters long and is the last 50% of the book.
The first part is how the fake relationship starts, part 2 is the fake relationship, part 3 is where they explore a casual relationship, part 4 is the boyfriend/girlfriend relationship and part 5 is a very exciting part of the story and the conclusion. The first book was told in a similar writing style and I love reading these books by parts.
I love that we really get to see how the whole family interacts in this book. We get to see Jordan and Annie's relationship progress, and we catch up on Sutton and David, and we even get to see how Jordan and Julian's mom is doing. We also meet Jen's family and her brother and I liked getting to know her family even though they had their ups and downs. Plus we also get to know more Wright cousins and some of Jen's friends who will end up paired with more Wrights. And we also find some missing Wrights, I am not spoiling how that happens but it was a really awesome part of the story.
