ABOUT THE BOOK
A millionaire pretending to be a chauffeur to get out of a marriage pact, what could possibly go wrong?
Eleanora “Nora” Atwood has never grocery shopped or taken public transportation, but to access her trust, she’s required to live in the real world for three months—or marry. Nora has no interest in love, so a paper-only marriage is the obvious solution. And she knows the perfect groom—Anthony Carter, a fellow heir who owes her a huge favor.
Fritz, rarely known as Anthony these days, takes advantage of his beard and Nora Atwood’s cluelessness when she mistakes him for a chauffeur. The eccentric socialite thinks her plan to cash in her chip with Anthony and marry him is brilliant, but Fritz almost got trapped in a loveless marriage once before, and it’s not going to happen again. Letting her think he’s someone else seems harmless until she turns out to be his neighbor.
Nora, a total fish out of water, suckers Fritz into helping her navigate her newfound independence, and he learns the hard way that opposites attract, but if he doesn’t tell her his true identity before she stumbles on the truth, he’ll risk losing her forever.

EXCERPT
“Oh, it is. But there’s a sense of pride in how I organize my finances, so I’m going to go on about them and you’re going to take it. If I had to hear about ladybugs and plant hair and enemies, you’re listening to me.”
She bit back a smile and let out a tiny giggle. “Okay then.”
Her laugh made me smile. I pointed at her. “Quit avoiding. You got me over here from my lazy Sunday afternoon. Get to work.”
“You’re awful bossy for a chauffeur.” She eyed me before focusing on the laptop. She frowned, stared up at me for a beat, and then tilted her head. “Hey, you’re not…you don’t have to help me, right? You’re choosing to be here?”
What an odd question. “Yes. I’m choosing to be in your plant-infested apartment where I get to talk about spreadsheets. Why would you ask that?”
“No reason.” She grinned as a blush crept up her neck and face. The pink made her skin glow, and I sat there, transfixed.
She ran her tongue over her bottom lip and wet it, the movement captivating me in a way I wasn’t prepared for. Her mouth looked soft, delicate, and her lips reminded me of a classic Hollywood starlet.
She ran a finger over her neck, scratching just below her ear, and I tracked the movement. My entire body tightened with need. I wanted to taste her, to kiss her mouth, see if she kissed like she did everything else—with gusto.
She leaned closer to me, her floral scent tickling my nose and making me all the more aware of how close she was. Her face was inches from mine. “Okay, is this a good start?” Her minty breath hit my face, and I fought every urge I had to not lower my mouth to hers.
She chewed on the side of her lip and stared up at me with so much trust, I wanted to fall into her. Lose myself in her. Set her on the table and rip off her too-large pink shirt.
“Fritz?” she said, her voice small. Her gaze moved from my eyes to my mouth, and she sucked in a breath. The air stilled between us as she leaned just an inch toward me, her nostrils flaring.
Her computer dinged three chimes, signaling an auto-update, but the sound brought me back to present. To normal. To the place where I shouldn’t be thinking about kissing Nora Atwood.
“Let’s take a look,” I croaked out, my throat way too dry and my voice a little shaky.
I could be attracted to her—that was fine. But acting on my lust? That was so far off my game plan. She wanted to use me, and I was done letting that happen.

ABOUT THE AUTHOR
Jaqueline Snowe lives in Arizona where the "dry heat" really isn't that bad. She prefers drinking coffee all hours of the day and snacking on anything that has peanut butter or chocolate.
She is the mother to two fur-babies who don’t realize they aren’t humans and a new mom to the sweetest baby boy. She is an avid reader and writer of romances and tends to write about athletes. Her husband works for an MLB team (not a player, lol) so she knows more about baseball than any human ever should.
This is book 3 in a series by an author I have never read before reading this series. This book can be read as a stand alone and I felt it was easy to know who everyone was and follow the story without feeling lost if you have not read the other books in the series.
This book is also told in the first person and we only hear from Fritz aka Anthony and we never get Nora's POV. I felt that in a book like this that I really wanted to hear Nora's POV, so I found not knowing what was in her head was something I missed in this story.
Nora is a socialite and shall we say very sheltered. She doesn't cook, has never been to Target and loves plants. I felt that she was not just sheltered but really knew nothing of the day to day of the world. I had a hard time connecting to her character because I had no idea what her thoughts were or why she was the way she was.
Fritz or Anthony is out of a very bad relationship, is a lawyer and is very wealthy. He fears women liking him for his money, so when Nora announces she wants to marry him, he becomes Fritz, the driver and that starts their friendship to romance storyline but he has this big secret from her.
Honestly I liked Anthony/Fritz. I understood why he did what he did but at a point it got too much that he kept this huge secret from a woman he was falling for. It was a well written story and despite the secret I understood why he did what he did. Not how long he kept it up but why he did what he did.
This was an enjoyable light reading story. Beyond the secret, there is not much drama and Nora was someone whose antics entertained me and made me laugh. Anthony was a good guy who had been hurt and was trying to protect himself and even Nora.
The other books in the series I were a lot of fun and entertaining. The order to read them is
#1 Internship with the Devil - Follows Grace who is friends with Fritz and his sister and she interns for an ex NFL player. Also told in the first person. He is a grump and she is very perky and fun. I really enjoyed this story and the characters had great chemistry.
#2 Teaching with the Enemy- Follows Gilly who is Fritz's sister and its a second chance for her with a fellow teacher and one night stand guy. He is a big grump and she is filled with fun and laughter but she is also hiding that her family is wealthy. It also is told only from her POV. But its a fun at work romance.
#3 Next Door Nightmare - See the review above.
