ABOUT THE BOOK

Stella Brooks is a woman who knows what she wants. From her first glimpse of Paris Fashion Week at the tender age of eleven, she has only ever wanted to be a designer. Hardworking and dedicated, she knows she can make a success of it.

Until…she is driven to trade fashion for frosting, a move that makes her soul sing but shakes her confidence in her decision-making to her core.
And when you add in that her sexy hookup from her older brother’s wedding is sniffing around again, things are about to get out of hand. Wesley McMillan seems different, no longer putting off love-’em-and-leave-’em vibes, which only adds to Stella’s emotional chaos.

Wesley McMillan has had a thing for Stella since she first served him a fried pickle platter at her mom’s restaurant. He may have only ordered a snack, but he found he wanted a whole meal—in the form of Stella Brooks. How could he not? She’s stunning, smart, and confident. She knows her worth and what she wants, and she owns whatever room she’s in, the ultimate turn-on for him.

He just has two problems: Stella is his best friend’s sister, and she thinks he’s a playboy. The first issue, Wes is willing to face off against. As for the second…Wes doesn’t blame Stella for her assumption. He used to love to play the field, but now that he has his demons under control, he is ready to show her and the world that he is worthy of her love.

Wes may be known for his sick signature move on the ice, but will his dirty toe drag be enough to score Stella’s heart?

ABOUT THE AUTHOR

My name is Toni Aleo and I’m a total dork.

I am a wife, mother of two and a bulldog, and also a hopeless romantic.

I am the biggest Shea Weber fan ever, and can be found during hockey season with my nose pressed against the Bridgestone Arena’s glass, watching my Nashville Predators play!

When my nose isn’t pressed against the glass, I enjoy going to my husband and son’s hockey games, my daughter’s dance competition, hanging with my best friends, taking pictures, scrapbooking, and reading the latest romance novel.

I have a slight Disney and Harry Potter obsession, I love things that sparkle, I love the color pink, I might have been a Disney Princess in a past life… probably Belle.

… and did I mention I love hockey?

This was such an awesome story and I absolutely adored every minute of it. This is Wes and Stella's story and it can be read as a stand alone though its best read as part of the series

I do want to mention that I am a new fan of the author and so I have not read the original Assassin series, but I have read all the books in this series and with each book it just gets better and better. This is Stella and Wes' story. Stella is Aidan's sister and Wes is a friend, a playboy of sorts and a fellow teammate. So lets just say they have a complicated connection.

Wes has a very painful past and Stella has a bit of a secret that she is keeping from her family. I loved how Wes is the first person she opens up to and how supportive of her he is. I also loved that she held fast to not being this big secret from Aidan and she forced him to be honest if he wants a chance with her.

I felt her sister, Emery stole this book. Emery and Penny were awesome characters and they both made me laugh at times. Make sure and have a cupcake when you read this book. You will know why when you read it.

My heart broke for Wes at times and I feel this book should have a warning. That it deals with a sensitive subject of molestation. Thats all I am going to say but I feel it should have a warning for other readers.
