ABOUT THE BOOK
Caleb Morrison is the most uptight man I’ve ever met – and he’s my new boss.
One moment he’s cold, the next he’s unexpectedly sweet. It’s enough to give me whiplash. Despite my attraction to him, I’m convinced we’re too different to be more than friends.
But then he flips the script and I’m left with a decision.
Daisy Wilson is the most intriguing woman I’ve ever met – and she’s my new assistant.
Although we’re complete opposites, I can’t resist her positive energy or the light she brings to my life.
But just as we grow closer, my secret threatens everything.
Pushing her away is the right thing to do.
I just hope she doesn’t listen.

EXCERPT
The second my lips found hers, I knew one taste would never be enough. The kiss exceeded every imaginary scenario I’d come up with over the last few weeks.
Still, I’d gone from zero to one hundred, and it was clear she was shocked by the way her body tensed.
I pulled back, searching her face. “I should’ve asked if I could kiss you. I didn’t mean to—”
She yanked me back to her, now an active participant in this madness.
I walked her into her apartment a few steps so I could use my foot to kick the door shut behind me. One of my hands rested on her hip, the other at the back of her neck.
Reluctantly, I broke the kiss, locking my gaze on her big green eyes. “This wasn’t part of the plan.”
“You planned not to kiss me?”
“Yeah, you want to hear about how it’s going?”
Her giggle bubbled up, causing me to grin.
My hands framed her face. As much as I craved another kiss, my conscience intervened. “You and I want different things.”
“Oh, I don’t know. Right now I want you to keep kissing me, so I’d say our wants are pretty aligned.”
I groaned, moving my lips to her neck where inhaling her scent made me have to close my eyes. I desired her so badly, my body was shaking. “I meant long term you want marriage and kids, and I don’t.”
“You’re right. I do want those things.”
Fuck, my head told me to walk away now. My body, however, was moving her into her bedroom. My hands skimmed down to breasts I’d spent many a minute dreaming about. I was afraid if I didn’t touch her now, I’d never get another chance.
“I won’t change my mind.” I wasn’t sure who I was trying to convince.
“Me, either.”
“But I don’t want to stop this.” Selfish as it might be.
She had no doubt in her expression. “Good. Me, either.”

ABOUT THE AUTHOR
Aubrey Bondurant is a working mom who loves to write, read and travel.
She describes her writing style as: "Adult Contemporary Erotic Romantic Comedy," which is just another way of saying she likes her characters funny, her bedroom scenes hot, and her romances with a happy ending.
When Aubrey isn't working her day job, or spending time with her family, she's on her laptop typing away on her next story. She only wishes there were more hours of the day!
She's a former member of the US Marine Corps and passionate about veteran charities and giving back to the community. She loves a big drooly dog, a fantastic margarita, and football.
Daisy's story is here! She was friends with Tori in Miss Trust which was Tori and Chance's story. They are Daisy's good friends who live in LA too and Chance's sister Kelsey. Daisy's story was a bit different than I was expecting but I absolutely loved it. Daisy was a total hoot and I adored every curvy inch of her in this book.
On paper this book is about two people who are very attracted to each other. One is the boss, Caleb and the other is his new temp assistant. But its not your typical at work romance because Caleb doesn't really have the power in this relationship because Daisy doesn't need the job.
Doris is Caleb's assistant and she asks her friend Daisy to take her place while she has surgery. Its a personal favor as Daisy does not need to work at all. She is just there because she is close to Doris.
Caleb is a lawyer with a disability (I can't say what because that might be a spoiler). Very high functioning and so most people just think he is not social and grumpy. He is also divorced and feels marriage is not for him and children are definitely not his future.
Daisy is recovered from a transplant and she is very wealthy and so she wants to explore and enjoy life. But finding a man to date is very complicated. Enter Caleb who offers friendship. Though he lusts after her, he feels they want very different futures.
I loved the writing and the characters in the story. It was a book I could not put down and I could not turn the pages fast enough. It easily stands alone and I really liked it.
Near the end there is a BIG plot twist and at first I did not love it but when it was over it made me love the book even more. I am also really excited about the next two books in the series.
This was a really wonderfully written story about two main characters that find love thru a friendship but who are not perfect and come with some imperfections but together their imperfections make them perfect for each other. I think this and Miss Trust are my two favorite books in the series.
