A super-hot, enemies-to-lovers, billionaire romance
from USA Today bestselling author Tia Louise.
ABOUT THE BOOK
Legend has it, the man you kiss at a wedding is the man you'll marry.
In my case, it's nothing but trouble.
Spencer Carrollton is a dark-haired, hazel-eyed beast.
When I collided with him at my cousin's wedding, I wasn't looking for love.
But his naughty eyes flashed, his full lips curled into a knowing smile, and I should have run.
I didn't.
I kissed him instead.
Then he gave me a job when I needed it the most.
I never get involved with clients, but Spencer Carrollton is wickedly handsome in a bespoke suit.
He's devastatingly sexy out of it.
He's possessive, demanding, and the best night I've ever had.
He's an arrogant billionaire, who thinks I'll fall at his feet, but I'm not going down that road again.
Then he pulls me out of danger and insists I move in with him until it's safe.
As the nights pass and we grow closer, I know I'm losing this fight.
Spencer Carrollton always gets what he wants.
The trouble is, he wants me.

This is book 3 in a series of books. I did not read the first book but I did read the second and the characters from this book we meet in the second book. Here is a small summary on the previous books:
Book 1 is This Much is True and it features JR and Hope, I did not read this book but JR is a character you will see in book 2 and in the current book, Trouble. He is a minor character so I don't think you need to read this book to enjoy Trouble.
Book 2 is Twist of Fate and it features Scout who is JR's brother and it pairs him with Daisy. It also introduces Spencer and Joslyn into the series. These two characters are heavily connected to Daisy and seen at several points in this story.
This book is Book 3 and is called Trouble and in this book we get into Spencer and Joslyn/Sly's head. Can this book we read as a standalone? Yes but to get a handle on the characters and connections I do suggest you first read Twist of Fate.
Sly is Daisy's cousin who is a massage therapist, and Spencer is someone that trained Daisy and also a friend and work associate in the Antiquities trade. Spencer and Sly meet at Daisy's wedding. But while she is attracted, she has a boyfriend. That is until she doesn't. But that really is not what this book is about. This book has some scary moments and its related to domestic abuse, and so I feel this book should have a warning about it for those that are sensitive to this subject.
This book is really about two woman who are very close to each other, Courtney and Sly. They are both in the same field and they are always there for each other. So when Sly has no place to live she moves in with Courtney but Court is having some big issues with her abusive ex and because of that Sly is put into danger trying to protect her friend and her young son.
And Spencer wants to save both women. But meanwhile he is also trying to fight his feelings and can he really resist Sly? Can he save Court? Well you will have to read this story to find out.
I enjoyed this story a lot. I loved the chemistry between Sly and Spencer and I absolutely adored Spencer and how awesome he was with Court and her child. But at one point I felt he was a bit too much into taking care of Courtney and I would have been very jealous of how protective he was of Courtney. Sly doesn't really ever feel that way but thats how I felt as I read the story.
