That is until my greatest fear becomes our greatest reality and one challenge I didn’t expect to have to come to terms with. In a single moment I shatter us both. Broken and alone I wonder if this is the life I truly want, or is it time to finally let my past go and prove to Raelyn that I’ve had a change of heart?

I read the first book in the series by this new author and absolutely loved it. In that book we also meet Jefferson and Raelyn. In this book we see the scenes again but this time from Jefferson's POV. Plus we get to see more of their story.
There were things in this book that I did not like. For one Raelyn has a sorta boy toy and we see her get intimate with this other guy, Derek and Jefferson also sees her with this other guy. Also one of Rae's friends kisses another friend, both females. I am not sure if they are bi or Saylor is just bi or a lesbian but I typically don't read bi or FF type of books. So I think there should be a warning about that.
What did I like about this book? Well I loved alpha Jefferson, who has all these rules but he wants to break them for Rae who won't give him the time of day. He is also 53 to her 30ish age, so its a huge age gap story. I also LOVED Rae so much. She is a chef and a former gymnist and she is one tough woman and I loved how she makes Jefferson chase her.
This was such an awesome story. It does take Rae and Jefferson many, many tries to even have one date but I loved how romantic their story was and how Jefferson is willing to break all his rules for a chance with her.
This is a VERY long story but I promise you it was a lot of fun and full of HUGE surprises along the way. There is a stalker in this story and throughout the book it will cause many issues between Jefferson and Raelyn along the way, plus an evil mother but an awesome brother and friends along he way,
I truly adored this story so much but it is long so make sure you have plenty of time to read it because you wont want to put it down.
